Tranny Problems

I am experiencing some slippage from first to second and second to third.If I have the pedal down accelerating it will not shift up until I release and put it back down.(Weird)A few guys have told me it might just be the Kickdown Rod linkage on my carb.Now I have a complete manual but it does not show me what it is supposed to look like!If anyone has a 80 f150 with and edelbrock 4 barrel that could send me a photo to my e-mail,I would forever be in debt!Thanks for the help!

What engine/tranny do you have? The more info you give us, the more we can help you out.

I have a 351 Mod and a C6 tranny installed.

It could be your vacuum modulator on the side of the tranny. If that goes or the vacuum line going to it has a leak, it could mess up the shifting.

I vote vacuum leak in the line to the tranny, or at the tree were it comes from.

That's what I thought too...that is why I replaced the modulator!(and it was in working condition)But I went to see my performance specialist and he seems to think that the Kickdown rod is a little short cause the motor is from a different year*L*A small $6 fix!Thanks for the replies people...I appreciate it!
