Hello everyone. I have a favor to ask of anyone that can help and that has pictures of their engine in a 89 B2 (w/ manual trans mission 2.9L) I am about finished building it, but I need to confirm where all of the vacuum lines go--from the air intake, upper intake, carbon canister, brake boost, etc. All of those lines. I have most, but I want to make sure I have it right. Please send me as many as you are willing from both sides of the engine compartment, near the air intake, manifold, etc. Thank you again to anyone that has these pictures or is willing to take some of their rig.
OK, thank you for that. I just have a few questions. The upper intake has 3 lines that come out of the throttle body assembly--but where do they go? Tere is another line that is less that 3/4 thick that comes out of the passenger side (underneath) of the upper intake. It faces or is bent towards the front of the vehicle--where does that go? Also, the innitials on the picture you sent--I don't know what they all mean. I'm great with putting things back together, but when it comes to the small detail stuff like this--well, I'm getting my butt kicked. I can send you some pictures of what is still missing if this might help. Thank you again for your time and help.
The two larger vacuum lines go to the crankcase breather and the pcv valve, which are located on the valve covers (1 line goes to each valve cover, and the pcv is on one, the crankcase breather is on the other, if that makes sense?). The other one goes to the carbon / evap canister, which should be on the driver's side of the radiator core support. There is usually short pieces of the rubber hose connected to plastic hoses for the carbon canister, as well as the map sensor, etc. Hope this helps a little more.
