'97 F250 VIN decoding?
Hi, all,
I'm busily shopping for my next 3/4 ton Ford, and I've found one on flea-bay: a '97 F250 SuperCab short bed 4wd, manual tranny, PSD. I've done all the usual checks (carfax, nada, blue book, etc.), and I've learned a lot about the truck. I'd like to decode the VIN, though, and I've noticed that your tech folder only covers trucks back to MY '99.
Anyone have any input on where I can find such? A quick googling the other day only brought up this site -- at least, this site was the only return I got that had any useful information.

We have a VIN decoder right on the site. If you go up to the top there is a tab labeled Articles/Specs, click on it and one of the option is VIN decoder.
