flowmaster/exhaust problem

Hi all, I just put 2 1/2" exhaust with a flowmaster on my 66 F100 with a 300-6. It sounds real bad. It has the BLUB BLUB BLUBs when coming down on decelleration. Reminds me of a circle track car. It is BAD I dont like it at all. I dont mind the rest of the sound, but I got no room for the BLUB BLUBs. The muffler is roughfy in the middle of the run. Any ideas what I could do to get rid of it?

Is there not enough restriction now? Do I need something in front of the muffler? Open to any ideas!!

TIA

Sounds like you may be running a little rich. I have a simular set-up with a "Dynomax" muffler and I don't get the "Blub Blub"

I ran the deal by one of my close all things vehicular Guru. He said the "restriction" thing is an urban myth? I did notice that I was not getting the same amount of vacuum as I did when I put the motor in the truck. Carb is a carter 1v unsure of the model #. I managed some more vac by turning the mixture screw CC and stopped a 23"Hg vacuum. The idle quality improved tons, and maybe the Blubs too? I think before I do anything I will rebuild the carb and see if it helps. It was unused laying in a garage for 8+ years.

Anyone else??

TIA
