hubcaps not fitting on help???????
Several years ago I got into a conversation with the counterman at Parts America (Checker,Kragen,Advance Auto, etc.) about wheel covers. Nothing in floor stock suited my taste. He pulled out a catalog of reproduction covers and there was an identical set as the OEM version I believe you are speaking of. Five fake lug nuts, silver with black striped insert panels. They were so cheap (around $35-40) I thought they would be too flimsy to last more than one season. The parts guy said he would order in a set and if I didn't like them, he would return them. Long story short, they are not quite the quality as OEM but have held up remarkably well while my OEM's rest, unscratched in their box. Since Aerostars are now 10 years out of production, the catalog may no longer carry them but it might not hurt to try.
i went to a junkyard and got a set of rims off an 80s aerostar, and those hubcaps go right on.
