Hi,

I just bought an 87 Bronco.
I have a couple of questions.

Can someone point me in the right direction to decipher the VIN code, Axle codes, etc... I can't find anything using search engines.

There is a light ON in the cluster "Emiss".
Is there any easy way to determine why it's on?
Does it have the capability to give me codes from the control box?

I've got an 87 Bronce XLT also with around 110k miles on it. I took my truck to the Ford dealer to find out the emissions light comes on at about 100k miles, that nothing was wrong and the easiest thing to do was to just unplug the light... this cost about $100 to find out. If it worries you then by all means take it in because something could be wrong, but in my case nothing was wrong and I paid to find that out.
