300 Exhaust
Does anyone know what would sound best for exhuast on a 4.9 300? I want a deep powerful sound. I would love to run true duals, but that wouldn't sound good since it's 3 cylinders in each. I was thinkink just a 40 series flowmaster muffler with duals after that.
Just wondering if anyone has experience with a good sounding exhaust for this engine....Thanks!

I have a 1995 4.9 300 and was looking for better sound,I went with a flowmaster&dual pipes that run out the sides before the rear back tires , it sounds o.k and looks good , I did this one year ago and the sound of my pipes slowly getting louder. If your looking for v-8 sound I'm afraid your not going to find it.

Alright, yeah I had a 40 series on my 5.8, and it sounded great. I was spoiled though. I think I will probably talk to an exhuast shop and see what they recommend. I like the idea of just straight piping it before the rear tire though.
Anyone know if cutting off the 2nd cat. can cause problems such as back pressure, or o2 sensors to go out of wack?
