Nav/DVD unit
Starting to get serious on looking for a Nav/DVD unit for my '04 F350 CC, but i see there are alot of choises out there to consider, and i'm at a lost at times.
Any help or suggestions on different units would be helpful. Thanks

narrow down what you need out of your unit. not all of them work with ipods or other mp3 players. look for one with a usb port. crutchfield.com is helpful. also some navigation systems require you to have a disc in the dvd player to read the maps while others have a hard drive. the hard drive ones are more expensive but you dont have to fumble with a disc all the time. im in the market for one too and can't decide what i want.

Kenwood, Clarion, Eclipse, Alpine, and Pioneer all make some really nice units. Like Broncobran68 said though you need to figure out what options you want and then go from there. I have a Kenwood DDX6019 with the add on KNA-G510 Nav unit and I really like the setup. I am thinking about upgrading to the DDX7019 or DDX8109 to get the USB input though so I can play videos/music from a portable hard drive.
