looking for old magazine article
Hi guy's, after I picked up my panel back in 99 I started buying magazines to get as much information as I could before starting work on it. Magazines have a tendancey of pilling up so you save the ones you think you'll need and descard the ones you don't think you;ll need. Mostly if there is anything relating to the 53-56 f100 is a sure keeper and you read the Chevy articles last. When it comes to replacing patch panels or the odd modification it applys to just about any make of truck. Well I thru out a mag. that had an article that now interests me, because I'm building my panel on a c10 frame. This article was about putting a rack and pinion steering on a 68-72 c10 truck. I know that it's only the really die hard Ford guy's that would tear out the pages of chevy articles so I was hoping that some one may recall the article that I'm refering to and what magazine it could have been. It was at least a two part article. If it is possible for me to do this modifiction it would save me having to hack up my new inner fenders I built and make the steering hook up on the inside of the frame. Thanks in advance. John

Have you tried doing a google seearch for the install? I'll bet you can find some god info there. Or maybe try the tech section of some of the vendors like Classic Performance Products (http://www.classicperform.com/tech.htm) or some of the others.
