Make sure it's a 9". I have a '70 stang here that had a 351 engine with an 8" rear end. It looks a lot like a 9 and is often mistaken for one. Here's how to tell in case anyone reading this doesn't know.
Bottom two nuts on the housing: can you get to them with a socket? If so it's an 8".
If you have to use an open end wrench to remove them, it's a 9".
