Used Tuner

Hey guys I have been loving the idea of a tuner for years but just cant see dropping over 300 bucks on one of them things. On ebay there are a couple of them for around 100 bucks used.

This one comes with the box, instructions, cables, looks like everything that it comes with new.
The seller claims it was only used once, sold his ford, so he doesnt need this any more. Seller says it is not VIN Locked.
What do ya'll think?

My truck is a 97 4x4 4.6 w/ 209k miles. I already run 93 through it because it has a spark knock w/ 87 in it. My tranny is new w/ around 30-40k miles on it.
I do light towing, 4 wheeler, jet ski, 17ft boat, 2k pounds of dirt in the bed occasionally nothing crazy.

Pay on CC or Paypal, so you have an option to dispute it. Selling for less than 1/3 of new means they either want to move it quick, it's stolen or locked. Be leary, but you could make out.

Right, good advice, I did notice after looking at the link that there is still about 5 days and change left on the bid. It does not exactly say it works. Guess that is a question to ask ha ha. Anything specific I should ask about or be concerned about?

I just sold one on ebay for $235.00 US on ebay. The major thing is that it is VIN Unlocked. The thing I liked most about it was that I could firm up the shifting of the transmission.

Yeah I do not expect a huge gain in power from my old 4.6 but I defiantly want quicker firmer shifts, I think that would make the drive ability of the truck way better.
