Diesel World article
Has anyone read the last 2 issues of the magazine and what they did to improve their milage? Basically they put in an Airaid intake kit, a 4" turbo back exhaust, an quadzilla programer, and hard toneau cover and went to all sythetics (royal purple) in engine, differentials and the transfer case.
went from 17 MPG to around 23mpg driving at 67 mph. This all sounds good, I plan to eventually go with the improved intake elbow, change to the sythetics, not sure on the air intake kit or programer. The tonneau is out also.
anyhow I have been reading ads about the different front hubs that are available, does anyone know if they actually work and make a difference as far as MPG?
They used a PSD for the article, mine is an 04 FX4, I am getting 17.5-18 on highway now at around 69-70MPH.
The article was the first I have seen on other than hotrod trucks, Oh BTW went from around 250 rwhp to 411 after all was said and done. Good article.
