Heck, my daughter was playing with the cat in utero. Highest point in the house was my ex wifes belly...cat would climb "Mt. Navel" and take a nap. Samantha (the kid...) would have nothing to do with that, and would kick until she dislodged the cat.
Is it any wonder the cat doesn't like my daughter???

This kid is doing the samething with the dogs. Our puppies like to sleep with their head on my belly and the kid will kick at them untill they move.
It really doen't like anything putting the slightest pressure on my belly, so even Jared gets kick off if he puts his hand there.
Oh yeah, Mil1lion...how did you get Jared's baby pic before all the plastic surgry? I thought we had that one locked up!!!
my wife said you have a very active baby and its cool she had her first like yours and her second one never moved . She says it happens sometimes and dont worry. she also said get as much sleep as you can now cause when the baby is out lol something tells her its gonna be very active and demanding lol good luck and keep us informed
Yup...expect an "active" child. Tip...said child obviously prefers an active environment...we discovered that properly securing said child in an infant seat and placing the seat on top of a running washing machine lulled the child to sleep. Yes, we actually did this...and it worked wonderfully.
Every child is different, and my daughter is now a wonderful happy, healthy, snotty, annoying nine year old girl. (How do nine year old girls live long enough to become ten year old girls? sheesh.)
While I was pregnant, I swore our son knew every time I tried to sleep. He would kick the side I tried to lay on. Occasionally, always in public places, I felt him "bungee jumping" in there. They do the wildest things.
My stepfather told me he hoped my first child will be twice as bad as I was. I think he cursed me!! My son can be so darn stubborn sometimes, and then the next thing you know he's bringing me flowers.
Just remember, raising your first child is a learning process. There's no owner's manual to owning a brand new child. You just better have all your fun now, things are going to change.
Have problems getting up to an alarm before? Your body will now wake you up every 2 hours that your baby needs to be fed. You will be awoken by the sound of your babe's cry, or slight movement. A woman's body is very amazing.
Hi....my husband just read me the question. I'm a nurse educator for labor & delivery at Virtua Hospital, & a Mom of two young daughters. An active baby is a good sign of a healthy baby, so don't panic! Perfectly normal to be active; we've had to chase many babies on the non-stress tests at the office for heart rates. It's when you go for a period of time where there is no movement felt that a provider would be concerned and want you to call. You have a little ways to go yet for your due date, as baby gets bigger towards delivery day these huge movements you write about, should dwindle down to flutters, & an elbow to your ribs every once in a while. Baby's going to run out of room in there, so be patient. Best of luck!
