when i bought this truck i noticed that the front bumper was straight in the front but bent downward on both ends, i didn,t think much of it at the time ( after all this is an old truck ) but as time went by it began to bother me because it is the only defect on the body ( good paint, no dents, no rust ), so one day i decided to jack up the bumper & try to bend it back to its original shape. I jacked it up about 2" beyound the straight position & let it sit overnight, the next morning i let it down & it went right back to it,s original bent condition, no change. Do any of you guys know know of any way that i can straighten this bumper?
PS: i have seen other older model ford trucks with this same problem
did you try applying some gentle heating with a "smoke wrench" while you had it under pressure? it may just need a little more persuasion to lose that set it's taken in the down position. just be sure and don't get it too hot cause it WILL take the hardness out of that portion of the bumper you heat up and you'll lose some of the strength (read crash protection) at that spot. personally, i'm taking mine off and geting rid of it and mounting a shop built bumper off a f-350 to help with the rude drivers here that don't have any lane courtesy.

I third the drivers with no lane courtesy, I just had a run in with one of them yesterday too.
A rapper/gang banger tried to take out my Honda with his Suburban. He swerved 1 1/2 lanes but I only managed 1. Almost had to run him over to keep him out of my face while waiting for the cops to get there. Then the cops told him to drive off and not look back, and I got thanked with the deductible.
At least nobody was hurt, and my junker got scuffed, not my truck!
As far as torches and bumpers, the more colors you drive, the less people mess with you
If you look at the way the bumper is mounted. It's bolted to the bottom of the bumper, to a small tab. the tab gets bent and the bumpper droops.
Pull the bolts out and bend the tab back where it's supposed to be. If the droop is bad, you might have to remove the bumper to gain enough room. It's way easy to remove.
I remember there was a recall from Ford on the droopy Front Bumpers. I brought mine back to the dealership around 94/95 to have all my bumper bolts changed on my 93'. Darn, that was like 12 years ago, the truck sure still looks good today.

like that about the more colors. LOL. my son's truck is in various stages of primer and blue and rust.....nobody challenges him right now. makes me hate to paint it. my thought is my carry permit gives me the option to "encourage" people of an agitated persuasion to stay out of your face.
our problem here is more of the co-ed with cell phone, cigarette and makeup all going at same time. here you see VERY FEW unbent student cars. LOL

Recently, I almost ran over a guy on a bicycle who was talking on a cell phone. He was in the bike lane and swerved out right in front of my F350. That was scary!
As far as packing, I'm too high-strung for that...might make everyone really sorry. But, that's just me. At least I live in a country where I could
