Differences in grill emblems?
Need some help on this one gentlemen. I am putting my 94 Splash back together after a wreck. The blue oval emblem that goes in grill was not found at wreck site. I have another one from a 94 XLT. When I tried to put it on yesterday I noticed that it mounts different and may be just a tad too big. Can anybody tell me if they have 2 different emblems, 1 for Splash and maybe 4wd with same grill and 1 for the other models.

There are two different grilles, one that has the emblem at the top of the grille, and one that has the emblem in the center of the grille.
I believe you have the emblem at the top, which won't interchange with the center-mount emblem. That being said, when I removed, repainted, and replaced my grille, I just cut the little pegs off the back of the grille and stuck it on with RTV, no problems, so if the size matches, that's a good little way to mount if assuming you have time to leave the grille sitting long enough to let the RTV set up.

Yep, mine is the one with the emblem on top. I have plenty of time, still have to rebuild steering components they got bent in the wreck. BTW, how did you get pics to show up, I tried to put up a pic of grill and it didn't work?

If you have the link and it's a good like, just put [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ] around it without the spaces, or create a gallery on here and put it there (up top, go to User CP, then on the left, Edit Gallery).
I'm not sure if the emblems are the same size honestly, if you have access to both, measure them. It took me all of about a minute to cut the pegs off the back with a Dremel tool and cutting wheel, then I just added some RTV around the back and stuck it on straight as I could get it and allowed it to sit out overnight to make sure it set up good and straight. Turned out good I think.

I believe the Splash's and the 4x4's all had the same grill with the badge at the top, and the rest in the center. At least in the 93-97 years. It's a corporate badge anyway, the size will be the same exact size specified by the company. The only diff will be the fit guides on the back side. Do like Zach said, chop'em off and glue it.
