My dad has an '02 quad cab that seems to have a cargo light issue. The cargo light will stay on for hours at a time. Sometime it stays on so long it will drain the battery. Is this a common problem with a common fix? Any help would be appreciated!

It's tied into the dome light. Perhaps the switch in the door latch is sticking. Try spraying some WD-40 into the latch assembly.

 

i'll give that a shot. is that a common issue seen with these rigs?

Yeah, they get dirty over the years and stick sometimes.
