REMOTE Start/Alarm

REMOTE Start/Alarm
I can't seem to get a good response on this:
I need an alarm and remote start before some thug tries to steal my truck (had a car stoled before...im a little paranoid) but im looking for something decent. I don't live in a high crime area, but something that makes noise will deter joy riders and radio theives.
What do you all have in your rigs? I'd also need a remote start unit that's capable of handling the "wait to start" feature.
Anyone????
Thanks,

I have used DEI Viper alarms on my older vehicles including my 99 SD diesel.
They are a good alarm.
I know have a Compustar alarm on my 06 SD diesel. I would have bought another Viper, but they do not have one to install on Manual tranny vehicles.
Compustar does and that is why I went with them.
I think the most important part of installing an alarm is not so much the type, but Who is installing..

I like the Crimestopper systems.
1. The product line is large. You can put together anything you want out of any system.
2. Name reputation. Been around a while and has great support.
3. Features galore. CS systems offer many programmable options others don't.
4. I am a CS dealer among others like CodeAlarm and Ungo, but I like the CS line.

2007 F-250: I went with the Viper on my rig and they had to do the programming for the wait to start relay, but it was easy (Best Buy). The only issue I had was the 07 tends to ramp up the RPMs to warm up and the alarm senses this as someone trying to drive off and it was shutting down. I immediately went back and they had to install a "false tach signal" and now it works perfectly. I also love the auto-down feature on the front windows, it also auto-ups them when you arm the alarm. Great Product.
