First Extended Service Corp.
They are finally sending an inspector to look at the vehicle to authorize repairs reccomended by the dealer. (this is day 3)
alternator, upper and lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends.
normal? something to worry about?
Im surious as to how much cheaper the 3rd party warranty was compared to the dealer offered extended warranty. Did you compare both prices? I paid $2050 for a 3/36 bumper to bumper from ford.

Perfectly normal. They just want to make sure you are indeed having the work performed, and by a reputable repair shop. And they will look at the parts to make sure they need replacing.
I guess they have been defrauded so often they had to come up with a solution.
As far as being a reputible shop, it is at the dealership that sold me the warranty. I would have hoped they did their homework before now.
If they can't get me my truck today I guess I will ask for a rental. Maybe that will speed them up.
Don't know the cost of the warranty, but this was the warranty sold to me at the dealership. I thought it was a Mfg. warranty at the time.
The original selling dealer was a personal friend of mine and I never had a doubt that he would stand behind it. The dealership was sold in the past few months and the new owners don't know me from Adam.
