I tried to find something specific using the search feature regarding noises while turning my '01 F150 4x4 (5.4, 70K) and couldn't.
Everyone's had an old car with leaky powersteering..... THAT"S the noise I'm getting each time I turn...like I need fluid.. doesn't seem as pronounced at idle as it does with some RPM's.
I've checked the fluid.... would the belt possibly slip causing the pump to not distribute enough fluid?.... belt seems fine though.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
might try cycling the old fluid out for new stuff. Isn't much money, and if there's junk in the lines you could find it that way. Belt dressing would help if the belt is slipping, if it's not then you're only out a couple of bucks for belt dressing.
