Fuel prices

I noticed today that unleaded is now $3.24 a gallon and diesel is still $2.84 a gallon. I know it won't last but it was cheaper to drive a diesel today.

Fueled today @ $2.999, including $.10 grocery card discount. Last fueled on 4/10/07 for $2.929. Unleaded was $2.999 for the cheap stuff and $3.339 for premium. Got 14.91 mpg, city only. The highest I saw for diesel was $3.179.

this is where ya'll need to check your prices, http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/wohdp/diesel.asp

That's where most of the trucking industry determines it's fuel surcharge prices, It has to be done on an average fuel price with most customers.

Only certain gas stations in the burbs have diesel at 3.09. And very few have it at 2.85. I'm glad I went with diesel. There is still the pros and cons about owning one. BTW, people that don't own a diesel. They are loud, smelly, and slow, so don't buy one. That will help keep diesel prices to drop.

Well, here in Southern California the Diesel is running .50 a gal cheaper than gas.
$2.91 vs $3.41 gal.

I've left my gassers parked for the last 6 weeks!

Got diesel Sunday in Dallas at the Flying J for 2.59 a gallon. That plus my 1 cent discount and it was 2.58

That was 20 cents less than regular unleaded.

Just looked today and its 2.54 per gallon.

Gasser is cheaper in cold seasons, but diesel is cheaper in warm seasons. Owning both gasser and oil burner would be win-win situation.

My jetta gets 45mpg commuting and 50 plus on the road. No sense in gassing it, especially with all the associated insurance, inspection and depreciation that goes along with it.
