I have an 88 bronco. The engine needs work. Is it on its last legs not sure till I tear it apart. hoping its just bad head gaskits. If the block is bad I have a 5.0 out of a 85 Lincoln. After parts were machined would I be able to put the two engines together? Namely 88-heads,intake to 85-block. Any special work or notes? Just waiting on time and some more cash to get to it. Any help is appreciated.

The blocks should be the same. Use the later e7te castings, they are much better than the previous. I would also convert to a roller cam. They sell a conversion kit or just use an 87' later ho block. But that's just hmo.
