Trailer/Truck Electrical Issue
Hey everyone, I am having some issues with my 3 trucks and 2 trailers. I have an 04 F-450 with a brake controller, 05 f-650 with a brake controller, and a 06 f-350 with the intergrated TBC. The two trailers are an 04 hudson tandem axle 12400 gvw and 05 husdon tandem axle 14500 gvw. For some reason, when I hook the 04 trailer to any of the three trucks it works fine, brakes and all. When I hook up the 05 trailer to my f-350 the lights work, but no brakes. However the 05 trailer works fine on the other two trucks. So I tried to change some wires around in the 05 trailer but the brakes still dont work. Any ideas to what may be wrong? Thanks for your help.

I would check the alignment on the pins for your hookup. If the 04 works fine with all 3 trucks, and the 05 with only 2, maybe a pin on the 03 Truck is off just enough to where it hits on the 05 connector and just pushing it back some without making contact. But the 04 trailer has enough play to still make contact with the "off" pin.

BillyBob69 is correct, I have had this similiar problem. The alignment of the "pins" were off with the trailer connector. I just fiddled with the pins with an longnose plier to make an better contact.
On other hand, there could be something wrong with the OEM Ford connector on the 05 Truck. Did you verify the power for each pin using the tester light or an mutlimeter?

Does the 350 give you any disconnected signs with that trailer? Is the trailer in question electric over hydraulic brakes? The Tow command was not developed for use with electric over hydraulic. Also like the other guys said if your getting trailer ok, check the pin alignment and/or maybe you have a corroded pin try a little dielectric grease on the pins of the trailer pigtail and truck connector
