Interior trim

Has anyone tried to remove all the plastic trim from a 92-96? I've got three cracked pieces and every piece makes noise. I miss the all metal interior of my 78 F250. I just want to try to make it a little quieter.

You mean around the dash or doors or back There is a bunch of it in there. I am pretty sure the front would look real wierd with out it.

I had that same problem with my 95. Noise coming from everywhere. I'm not sure what it's called, but I bought a roll of foam that has a sticky side to it. I unscrewed the moldings, stuck pieces of the foam here and there, and screwed the molding back on. Took care of most of the noise. The only one I haven't been able to get rid of is coming from the speaker grill on the passenger side door.

I have also had some sucess with a small paint brush (1/2" art type) loaded with soem grease and then applied between plastic panels. It worked particularly well on the door skins where they rubbed on the rubber seals at around the small window.

But if you think these Broncos are noisy - you try driving a land rover and having a civalised conversation! LOL
