Head Light polish

I recently ordered some polish from Meguirs for clear plastic, PlastX. I used it today on the headlights, which was the main reason for getting it. It definately made a big difference on clarity. I had used some ATF before and it cleared it up, but would get dirty quick, same thing with tooth paste. I guess time will tell if this stuff works better or not.

I'd like to see if that Flitz polish works as well. They sure advertise it enough.

I think you mean ScratchX by meguiar's.. Ya.. it is good stuff.. also excellent for taking out the minor scratches in your dash plastic that covering your speedo, etc..

The stuff I ordered is

https://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_list.cfm?sectionname=Consumer%20(Meguiar's %20Brand)>Clear%20Plastic%20Care&sectionID=15101
(may have to cut and past into new address bar as the link is apperently not supported)

I am very impressed, after three weeks the headlights still look clean and clear, didn't seem to pick up much dirt either. That was my concern, I didn't want it to look clear until the first dust storm then pick up all the dirt and be worse than just hazy.

I just use turtle wax rubbing compound and then seal it with wax. Clears the lights up very nicely and they stay clear for quite a while. Just my .02
