2006 Ranger Tailgate
Hey Guys; I spend most of my time in the 67-71 Forum but I need your help with this one. I damaged a coworkers tailgate. It is a 2006 Ford Ranger. I need to know what years will interchange? and where would be the best place to buy one? I have the paint code (yz). Can I buy a tailgate pre painted? or will I have to have it painted at a shop?

I believe all the way back to '93 will interchange. Not 100% sure, but I am thinking the beds haven't changed since then. If they want the huge badge on the back, then only a 2006-current one will work as the locating pins on the badge will only match the current gate. Usually due to slight variances in colors a shop will have to paint it. The gate may or may not come primered. Go to a body shop and see what they can hook you up with.
