Talking Chrome

I Have Come To The Point Where I'm Getting Tired Of Going Out And Having To Polish My Chrome Parts (bumper, Bed Rails, Rims, And So On). I Heard A Crazy Idea. A Friend Of Mine Said To Polish It Up The Best That I Can And To Clearcoat It And That Way All You Have To Do Is Wash It Just Like The Rest Of The Truck, And It Would Shine All The Time. Has Any Body Tried This? Or Maybe Has A Different Suggestion? I'm Thinking About Doing It But I Would Like To Know How It Works First. Thanks

If your chrome is needing polished that much your clear coat would too. I also doubt clear would even stick to polished chrome well.

It wouldn't... in order for any paint to stick, the surface would have to be scuffed up until all the shine is gone. Then paint can be applied, but it wouldn't serve any purpose. I would judt leave it alone!!!
