As long as they are gapped correctly, spark plugs are
very similar. Autolite plugs are a good standard. I run NGK U-Grooves in my 94 5.0 with great results. ($20 for 8 here in Hawaii(. But I have NEVER been dis-satisfied with any spark plug. Just remember to check your wires and rotor for wear while you are down there.
go to the dealer and get the right plugs, and just give them your year model, because i know that a 87 model has to have a hotter plug than say an 85, 84, 83, ect. get the right one.
I run motorcraft in everything I own. Some guy tried to sell me AC Delco plugs and I straight up told him I wasn't giong to run that crap in my truck. I just find that OEM always works for me.
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
I agree. oem motorcraft and the filters as well..fram air filters do NOT fit correctly in our 96 bronco..the gasket area is too wide and thick, so we threw it away (the filter..lol)
