Smile Fumoto on 2WD?

I have talked my dad into getting a Fumoto for his 2007 PSD, however, his is a 2WD. Him and I are concerned about clearance issues on his truck since 1) It sits lower than my 4WD, and 2), theres not as much suspension in front of the pan to protect the plug. Does anybody have one of these on a 2WD? Any problems with it? Thanks in advance for the help!

One other question...do we need the "adapter" that I have read about some valves needing because they won't seat correctly in the pan? I doubt we do because our pans are not recessed, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

If you get the fumoto low enough to tear it off you already had major damage in the front (axle, frame, loss of tires, etc. --LOL). You'll shouldn't have any clearance problems since it doesn't hang lower than the front crossmember. Mine's been on for about 75K miles with NO problems at all.

Not to mention if something ever did happen to where the oil did drain out, the truck should just shut off. Without oil our injectors can't run, meaning the truck can't run, at least that's how I understand it. While I'm sure this wouldn't be great on the truck it is better than running the truck without any oil.
