Dog House Cover

I got my parts van I have for my econoline truck project.I was disassembeling some of the interior parts and I noticed the dog house cover was made out of plastic not steel.My econoline truck has a steel one .This van that I got has a plastic one.Is this a rare part for the econoline?

i would say extremely rare, like mabey someone made a 1 off cover.

i could be wrong, but i never even heard of one being plastic!

Me too I never heard or seen a plastic doghouse cover. It would not be very strong and no one could sit on it.
I has to be something someone has made.
