also it dies if i try to accelerate but okay at idle really require urgent attention on this problem pulled out fault codes which indicate 2 only ECT sensor which i replaced to no avail and EGR which has been disconnected help please
Try purchasing a new fuel pump relay. They're about $5 at any parts store, and take about 30 seconds to swap out.
If that isn't the problem, you need to define "overfueling". Are you running rich ? Check your fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum line to it, and see if any fuel comes out. If it does, your diaphragm is wasted. New one is about $40, and is a slight pain in the ##### to replace, because of the three Allen head bolts holding it on. The one nearest the firewall is tough to reach if you have even slightly enlarged hands.
Okay I just fixed this type of problem last week on another brand vehicle. What it turned out to be was a clogged Cat Converter. It was killing the engine from the other end causing what appeared to be an "over fueling" problem. This was on a 1989 truck. My Cat Conv clogged in my 84 also. You might want to just have someone rev the engine once it is running while someone just feels the amount of exhaust from the tailpipe. Or take the other approach and disconnect the Cat and start the truck.
