well, I now own two. I kinda bought my first truck back. I bought this 87 custom for $1800 from my friend. I drove it like a month, then threw a rod. Tore up the hood and messed up the engine REAL good. Sold it to a salvage co. for $1750. I got my 90 eddie bauer a few weeks later. Another friend of mine sees it and decides that's what he wants. So he goes down to the salvage yard and buys the pile without it's engine, trannie, hood or tail gate. He replaces all of it. Enter the state of michigan. they decided he needs to loose his license for his 3rd dui (he should have lost it after his FIRST). So, he decides to sell the truck cuz he can't drive it. $500 and it's MINE again. New 302, c6, warren manual hubs, borgue warner T-case, new hood, new tailgate and window motor, new rear main. All black, with tinted windows, black top, black rims, blacked out light covers, police style push bar (black of course) and black after market spoiler to keep rain out of the back when the window is down (that's going bye-bye). It does need a new door and mirror on the passenger side from the patrol car he crushed. But for what I just paid, I'm thinking it's time to make it into a full time offroader and save the big red dog for everyday driving. This thing has the vinal flooring, no upolstry on the roof of the cab, all water proof seats, and drain plugs transplanted from a 69 jeep. Also has some goofy clips that he rigged up to remove the top without tools. Must add lift kit and bigger tires now
