Seperating C4 from 302

Seperating C4 from 302
I'm hoping to pull a 302 and C4 from a 1970 E100 tomorrow. Anyone have instructions on how to seperate the tranny from the 302?
We are thinking it would be easier to pull with them seperated - planning on pulling the motor out the passenger door instead of the front. Door is removed, as is the roof, so it seems like the side would be easier than the front, but the floorboard would be in the way if you don't seperate them first.
Or does anyone have tips for pulling them out the front, still attached to each other? Grill, hood, radiator, linkage and all wires are already out of the way(removed).
We do have an engine hoist and load leveler to use.

take them apart first
drop trans out the bottom first
just remove the bolts to the engine
nuts or bolts from flex plate to converter
starter, linkage, driveshaft,
when seperating keep converter with trans
it will fall out if not careful
