It's really up to your taste. There are so many air cleaners out there. You can go custom, billet, or even original. I have an original air cleaner from a 68 Cougar with the 302 sticker on it sitting on a shelf in the garage. It's in like new condition if your interested. I'll give you a deal you can't refuse.. LOL... I'm running a scoop with a small air cleaner mounted inside on my truck which came with the truck when I got it. I'm thinking about going with the oval billet (cobra type) air cleaners in the near future.

I have a 14"? Edelbrock chrome job with a K+N filter. Looks great, but with no under hood insulation on these trucks and an open air cleaner like that, you get a lot of air noise as the carb draws in all that air on accelleration. I wish there was a cool enclosed housing I liked..

What ever you like and what ever you have room for. I changed the small old 2 V carb on my 57 F350/272 to the larger newer style 2 V and it`s fairly tight between the carb and firewall.
You shouldn`t have that problem with the 302, there will be alot more room depending how your engine is mounted.
