Hey guy's,
I am looking for the thread that someone wrote in within the last two month about having their mushy brakes finally fixed. I did a search and could not find it. Any one out there remember which thread that was? My truck is at the dealers and I told them I would get them the information. Looks like they found the problem with my vehicle shake. They are replacing the driveshaft and three of the four tires. I talked to them about the mushy brakes, they have looked at it and said according to Ford, they are with the designed specs. I have to pump the brakes for them to feel anything like what I would consider a "good feeling" brake pedal.

well my 06 had mushy brakes since day one about 2 days after owning it i decided i would just go ahead and bleed the system. I used 1 quart of brake fluid and about an hour of time. my lines still had air in them from factory. they are now rock hard.
i have a question about the shake , i have one also. mine shakes when i'm between 65 mph and 72 mph. was yours the same problem or different?

The "shake" I was experiencing was very pronounced in the mornings when the tires were cold as well as the rest on the vehicle. Between 56-62, my bed would shake, rather violently. Above aboout 63 it would smooth out. After the vehicle and tires warmed up, the shake was not as severe.
I still hunting for that thread where the guy reported his brakes were finally fixed by a dealership. I believe they adjusted the master cylinder push rod length to accomplish this. My question to Ford was would this pre-load the brakes and cause the brakes to were quicker?
Any inputs out there?
