1989 460 rough idle

1989 460 rough idle
Hello to all. I just bought a 1989 f-350 460 and dont know much about them. I have a rough idle, And when i start the truck it revs up and then dies, If you dont give it throttle. there are gauges in the truck so the temp is not hooked up will that also give me problems? The timing wants to be at 30% Can someone inlite me a little on this truck and setup?
