Gonna replace OEM shocks on my 95 Bronco 5.8L. 111,000mi on the originals. I do lots of NYC pothole driving and lots of highway. No off-road. (What a waste of a good truck!!)
Only consideration is that I want a not too firm ride for the passengers but I'll be hauling about 300lbs of motorcycle off the back bumper on a bike CARRIER, not a trailer.
I just bought some cheap Monroe Gas-matic shocks (Nitrogen I think) on sale at R&S Strauss Store for $15 x 6 shocks but holding off installing since I have no recommendations on quality. Any advice?
Next question, a friend says he installed his shocks without jacking up the truck. I've always jacked on CARS but I think I did it for space constraints. I'd love to get away without jacking it. ANy advice?
Thanks ahead of time to all who help or try to help.
