adjustable rockers

i installed crane adjustable ductile iron rockers on my recent 390 rebuild, engine runs good but after it reaches operating temp. i get a little lifter noise. i have run the valves twice now going 1 full turn after 0 lash, is this too much or not enough, since i still have noise i think maybe i should go another 1/2 turn but 1 1/2 turns seems a little much. any suggestions?

1/2 to 3/4's turn is what I was told and i went 1/2 on all mine w/ no issues. Are you sure you're starting at zero lash? Thats something you gotta play with to get used to feeling so you don't over/under tighten the setup. Were your rockers installed on original shafts? Did you mike the shafts and rockers to see what kinda tolerance you were gonna have when assembled?
