I intend to replace the A/C compressor on my 5.8L '88 Bronco. The system blows cold with 134A refrigerant, but when the clutch is engaged the internal compressor bearings are noisy and getting louder with time. I would like to replace the compessor only and use the existing clutch assembly, which appears to be working fine.
My Haynes Ford truck manual does not show an exploded view or explain how to remove/install the clutch. Does anyone know if special tools / pullers are required? Would appreciate any information or advice. Thanks in advance ... John
