need help with brakes
i have a 79 f150 4wd project it had the back brakes disconnected for a while now everything is hooked up and my front brakes do not release. i have been told something about resetting the proportioning valve can anyone help? any help is appreciated.

Did you happen to change the master cyl and booster when doing this project?
When you say they do not release, do you mean after you press on the brake pedal the wheels do not spin with both front wheels off the ground?
Is it possible your transfer case is in 4x4 and your front drive shaft is jammed against a cross member?
