entry code info please

Good Afternoon
I just purchased a 2006 F250 Lariat superduty. Nice truck lifted red 4x4 powerstroke. It has the keyless entry numbers on the door. No one knew the combination. It used to be posted in the older expeditions and explorers in the rear panel area. Do they still have the combo posted somewhere in the truck? Sure would be nice. Also any ideas for a good alarm system that has remote start and cool down. I would like to be able to lock it when it is running.
Sure appreciate all the help. Changed from a Dodge to a Ford think it will be as good??? LOL
Thanks again
Pam

It depends on if it has the stick on keypad or the keypad that is built into the door and wired into the vehicle.

If it is a stick on unit (almost 1/2" tall off the truck) and you don't have the card with a code on it you are going to have to go through a list of all of the combinations in order to find it. Someone in the excursion forum made up a list of all of the combinations (3125 different ones) and you can request someone to send it to you. Before you try this make sure that the keypad lights up when you hit the first button. If it doesn't the battery is low or dead so it may not work at all and you may be wasting your time, until you replace the battery. Here is a link to the thread where you can ask someone for the list.

If it is the factory installed one (only sticks up about 1/4") then you have two different ways to get the code. One is to go to the dealer and have them read it off the computer, some dealers charge for this others don't. It only takes them a couple of minutes if they know what they are doing. Otherwise the code will be printed on a sticker up behind the dashboard. It is usually located in the central portion of the vehicle behind the radio/climat controls. You can pull the main dash panel and radio out and look behind them, or take the trash hook off and look up behind there.

Actually though, if you haven't looked yet check in with the owner's guide and make sure the little credit card thing isn't stuck in there, that's where most dealers put it.

I think someone said you could find it if you were to pull out the trash bag hook and look inside upward. It would be on some module

take it to the dealer and they will pull it off the computer for you, they had to do mine for me and then your owners manual will tell you how to change it so no one (previous owner) has it...

Do a search for door code programming. It will bring up a post showing the location of the control module and all the data on programming
