How much electronic stuff will be needed with a 6.0L diesel to make it run. I am planning on swapping my 6.9L with a 6.0 and the tranny. My dad might be able to get a donor truck so that would be where the engine and trans are coming from.
Thanks

You will need at minimum the PCM, FICM, Engine Harness, Transmission Harness, and Body Harness. The Chassis/Cab harness will also make the task easier as it will prevent you from having to do any manual wiring.
Well my dad found out that the junked truck we might get, there is something wrong with the engine but the transmission is fine. So what will be all of the wiring that i need off from it. I am going to use a computer to set the shift points where it all falls in the power band.
Hey PSD 60L Fx4 do you sell 6.0 L diesel's then (just he engine). I would really like to give my truck some power. Since you are a high performance guy yourself i am in a debate. It have found people take the engine i have (6.9 idi) shave the pistons down to drop the compression ratio and then get better injector pump and higher flowing fuel injectors. I have not really got a good idea how much power they are making but they can run around 20+ lbs of boost with the lower compression and head studs. I am wanting my truck to go for acceleration instead of full out pulling power. The new PSD seem to have both. But have you ever done anything with an idi to get some power. I do not want to go insane with nitrous and boost levels in the 30+ but somewhere around 25lbs with a trans that will keep the power at the wheels (Where you can not even tell the truck is shifting when you go down the drag strip) Just wondering if you know anything about that. Also if i do swap if you know how the frame mounts would work out or if the 6.0 is bigger block and would not fit. I would greatly appreciate the help because i have done alot to my truck in looks but now i am needing the power. Something that is streetable but will hold its own at the drag strip. Thanks for any help you can give me.

We most certainly do; we carry a full line of complete engine assemblies at any power level you like. Take a look at our website (www.lidiesel.com) for a list of some of the components we have available; if you need any specific information just give us a call at the number listed in my signature and ask to speak to me.
