got a 95 with a semifresh 5.8 and an AOD.
motor makes a loud semi metalic ticking sound once it warms up that matches rpm.
brought it to an exhaust shop to check for leaks, didn't find any
I checked for oil presure, and I'm getting 35psi - 60psi
replaced the roller lifters, still does the same thing
used sea foam combustion chamber cleaner incase it was a carbon knock
motor has less than 10,000 miles on it, does not leak oil and runs great otherwise.
I'm all out of ideas, give me something to try and I'll do it.
happens when out of gear, but it does change quite a bit when shifting gears. plugs and wires all look good and fire well, engine does not miss.
At this point I'm thinking next step is either drop the transmission and see whats up with the converter and flexplate, or take it to another exhaust shop to see if they can find a leak.
note: when I pull the number 8 wire it mostly goes away.. I'm thinking that this could be related to the egr ports on the back of the motor.. anyone have any experiance with this?
