That truck looks alot like the truck that was sold at the Mac auction south of Weyburn a couple of weeks ago. The fellow that bought the truck was from Moose Jaw as I have seen him before at auctions buying old Ford trucks.
I think it`s high but I`m not really up on the latest prices, I`m guessing Don Pool might have a better one for less moeny.
It`s really too bad the motor is stuck and there are so many major dents, it doesn`t seem like a great project to me.
I`m thinking more like $1500 but that`s just me.
Although these 3 51 Ford cars aren`t trucks this seems like a much better deal, one is a extremely rare 51 hardtop. http://saskatoon.kijiji.ca/c-cars-ve...QAdIdZ12821821
Yup he's dreaming. I spy a grain chute on the side of the box and that is a hard piece to make so you need another box to make a repair patch. For $5500 I could buy like 8 48-52 1 ton trucks. A friend of mine knows were another 1 ton is but I haven't seen it.
I agree the price is high for something that has had nothing done to it. Effie-man did not even pay that for a very nice running yellow truck.
Those 51's the 2dr hardtop is a victoria. I know where there was one and had spare doors. Floor pan was all rotted, but the car was still complete. Not many of those Victorias around. First year I believe for them.
So Corner gas on further checking is it the one from that auction.
I can see guys trying to make a buck like that and lie to make that profit.
Have a guy out here, He owned Trusty's appraisals. He is not that trusty, He bought the car wash and lot for a song out here and started up a used car dealership. Most of the stuff was junk, high price junk. He had Mustangs from the 80's that had been put through the mill and he wanted 3000 for them. Now he has the place up for sale for 250,000. He paid $75,000 for the place 2 years ago.
Never trust a guy with a name like TRUSTY.

Dueller you can't compare the price of a stock 1 ton price to the price for a stock 1/2 ton. Most complete 1 tons end up at at a steel place, half tons are a completley different story.
I just bought a very nice 52 truck, no axles or motor/trans/seat/box but a much nicer body for a fraction of this guy`s price.
I don`t know what I`ll do with it but it was too way good to pass up.
Down here there is a place called honest crooks auto sales, dont know what to think of that one!
That sounds like a really cool buy Morris. too bad it didnt have a box with it though, you would have made some cash by selling it to me if it did have one
