Gas Mileage

I have a 1998 extended cab f150. It has a 6 inch lift, 35 inch tires and the 4.6 liter engine. I am only getting 200 miles per tank of gas at a maximum. usually its about 180 miles per tank. The gas mileage is killing me and I was wondering if there is a problem that needs to be fixed. Does anyone know how to help me out??

Did you recalibrate the speedo for the tire change?

what is your rear end gear ratio?? the biggest problem is the 35's. the 4.6l will be working a little harder to turn them, hence using more fuel. the sticker on the inside of your drivers door will give you codes for your rear end, post them here and someone will decipher it for you. if you're running a 3.55, be a good choice to move up to a 3.73 or 4.10...

He wont hardly notice the change to 3.73's, and it would be a waste of money.

4.56's are the only way to go....especially with a 4.6L and 35's.
