excessive EGR flow

98, 4.6L, 100K

I recently cleaned the entire EGR system and replaced the EGR valve and DFPE sensor because of low EGR flow but now I'm getting an excessive EGR flow error. What would cause this?

Did you disconect the battery to reset the computer? Might do that and see if it throws another code.

You have two ports in your throttlebody that get stopped up with carbon. Take off the throttlebody elbow and you will see the ports inside were the EGR hooks up to it.
