flame thrower
im trying to put a flame thrower on my truck i had dual exhaust put on it
well to hook it up i had to buy 2 12 volt ingition coils to hook up to the one thats already in the truck well i got a 2003 ford f150 and it has the coil packs over each spark plug can i still hook this up ??

How are you going to add all of the raw fuel to the pipes to produce a flame? They do not have a choke to close like in the old days. You will need to introduce raw fuel into the pipes somehow. You would somehow have to tap into a couple of COP primary wires to trigger the coils. I wouldn't recommend doing this myself.

Today's high end engines are not prone to dumping raw fuel as LxMan1 said. The computer and all of the components backing it up are trying to run it as lean as possible.
A lot of plastic is used as trim and it may not take a lot of flame.

i had entertained thoughts of the flaming exhaust as well, but aside from the technical difficulties(which we could overcome), i thought of my insurance company...i don't think i'd be covered if my truck burned due to intentional flaming exhaust...just a thought.

Well, avoid all the headaches with trying to hook up your system and just go out and buy a new 2008 Ford Super Duty before the dealers do the recall on it. This video is pretty impressive!

unplug your egr sensor you'll dump plenty of unburnt fuel.........mine is bad and i'm getting about 13 MPG in a V6 so that fuel must go somewhere....I assume out the exhaust by the smell of rich exhaust.

I second the propane injection idea. It seems to be the most practical way, if you must have flaming pipes!

And probably don't do it all the time if this is your everday driver. But, you MUST post pics/vids of it when your done

What you need to do with these late trucks is set up oil burner nozzles and seperate spark plug assemblies to ignite the fuel at the tail pipe tips.
Use a small tank and pressurize the fuel, then release it with an electric soilenoid.
Use lantern fuel.
There are control boxes to power coils for high voltage to the plugs.
Leave the engine alone. You can't flow fuel thru the cats without overheating them to distruction.
Be very careful about this kind if setup, it can throw fuel as much as 50 feet and never use it on the roadway or near other property or create a fire hazzard on grass etc..
