I just purchased my system on the net at this site www.gooddeals18.com
This is the cheapest place I found on the net; you will have to install the components yourself or find some one to do it for you.
We need more information on what you are looking for. Do you want an in dash unit, monitors in the headrests, overhead monitor, or a self contained unit you strap to the headrests and then take out when not in use?
Consider the Pioneer AVIC D-3. Cost is around 999.00 and is a DVD player, radio, CD and navigation unit.
I put a D-2 in my 07 Ranger and it fit the double din opening. The difference is that the D-2 does not have DVD playback like the D-3. Everything else is basically the same. I put the D-3 in my motor coach (07 Holiday Rambler Ambassador) which replaced the stock DVD player/radio/CD and I-Pod controller. It plays on the screen as well as rear monitors (in my case I have it going to the 42" flat screen TV.
I don't want to do "Headrest" type systems (too expensive and don't want anyone cutting my KR leather seats). Also i can't do a "Roof" mounted type system because i have a power-sliding moon roof. I don't want a DVD screen up front so a head-unit is out of the question. So my only other option is mounting a DVD system in the back-end of the center console.
Also i can't do a "Roof" mounted type system because i have a power-sliding moon roof.
I just made a post about adding a dvd player/monitor. Is there any way to mount an overhead unit in a truck that has a moonroof? If not in the middle (because the glass has to slide back), I would even try two seperate ones on both sides. I want something stationary. I don't care much for the portable deals; and I don't want my headrests cut either.
