6port Fuel Selector Switch Plug Wire Diagram... AHH HELP :D
I just got this truck its an 86 F250 XLT LARIOT and its got some fuel delivery problems.... Basicly the 6 port fuel tank selector switch has been horribly messed up...
its got a plug on it with i think 6-7 wire holes but
only 4 black wires coming off of the plug,
2 are spliced into 2 wires in the main bundle traveling along the frame....
2 are stripped and hanging loose near by 2 Stripped and loose wires coming of the frame.
I need to rewire this selector switch correctly and i spend 2 hours searching the forums for a diagram and have not found one.... if there is a diagram section i must have missed it... also cant find any detailed info in my hayes book
Does your truck have a 460? If so, look in the 86 diagrams in the Haynes, and keep an eye out for a page that says "hot fuel handling". If you have a 460, then that should be the correct diagram.
I belive its a 302 based on what the hayes book says about 6 port fuel selectors vs 3port selectors.... i dont really know though... iv never had any v8 much less an american car LOL so were do i find the engine size?
Wow.... im obviously pretty lacking of knowledge on american cars.... LOL.... its a 460 w/ stainless Headers.... (btw how much hp does this thing make u think w/ the headers?)
I found another F250 and looked at the wiring colors so i got the switcher working.... still having a few issues though.... I will start a new thread when i figure out my next question....
THANKS FRANKLIN!!
