i have a 1975 highboy with a hp d60 in it. i want to run a set of headersin it, but i dont know what would fit, any suggestions? hedman makes a header for highboys, but its a full length and i dont know if my dif will hit the header. it's already smacked the stock exhaust pretty good.
thanks
I'm not shure of the measurements on the dana 60 but my '73 hi-boy with the stock dana 44 clears the hedman's just fine. Ordered from summit and have had no issues at all. Install was a bit trickey IIRC but overall went in fine. I havent had any leaks yet either. Don't know if this helps but it's all I can contribute.
I run the L&L fenderwell exit headers on my 77. It has a 460 and a hp 60 front as well. no problems. The L&L headers are $$$$ but they are very well built, and have a lifetime guarantee against rust-through IIRC.
a few years ago,i put headman headers on a highboy (fe engine, np 435 trans,d 60 front). i dont remember the part number though.they fit fine, the trucks suspension was stock too.i remember having to jack up the engine, remove the passenger side motor mount,to get the tubes around the motor mount, but it was not as bad as it sounds.
