I have an 76 F-150 4X4 with a 360 and want to add a/c to it. Under the dash is fine. I have seen kits, but they do not have all the parts. I am going to need:
pully and belt
electrical work??
compressor bracket
Radiator Upgrade??
I do not want to put something out of a junk yard on it due to the freon requirements.
for a complete underdash kit you are looking at 2000.00 i went that way on my 75. On my 76 i found a donor truck with factory a/c and moved all the parts over. all the parts plus new barrier hoses only set me back 120.00 and 3 days of my time.
Depending on compressor mount and drive price,,,, Expect to pay about $800 for a 100% complete brand new AC system. At www.Bought4Less.com
Wiring,,, its 12 volts at the fuse box and a ground wire, the L/P switch then to the Comp.
